When installing solar panels the right choice of access equipment is essential in helping to minimise risks and to provide a safe and versatile environment for working at height.
Dedicated access systems such as our Solar Platform have been developed specifically with the solar industry in mind. The Solar Platform can be easily transported in either a transit type van or estate car and incorporates an access platform with an integral lifting mechanism for solar panel installations. When a larger working platform is required, our Easi-Dec Platform and Catwalk can be combined with a Solar Platform to form a Solar Access System, providing either an 8m or 10m long working area. Additional Decs and Catwalk can be added to provide limitless modular systems.
Once on the roof, solar panels can be installed or maintained safely using the Solar Bridging Ladder. Unlike standard roof ladders which leave little room between the physical ladder and the roof, the Solar Bridging Ladder provides 23cm clearance from the roof to the underside of the stile, allowing plenty of work space.
