Wates Living Space at Bloxwich has undertook a programme of gutter cleaning / fascia and soffit replacement and high level painting work on approximately 140 three storey maisonette blocks throughout the Walsall area. Easi-Dec’s Roofline System has been used in conjunction with the Super Legs, to give a maximum platform height of 6.8 metres. The product was selected for this particular application and has been used on a daily basis throughout the duration of this contract.
Wates have explained that the company would have been paying up to £3000 per block of flats to install traditional fixed scaffold, so a considerable saving of around £400k is being made by choosing Easi-Dec for this project. James Harding – Site Supervisor said “We’re well underway with our programme of work and are delighted with the Easi-Dec system and its flexibility for this type of contract. It’s very simple to use and we’re particularly pleased with the cost saving element against the use of traditional scaffolding”.
